(1400/1500) you are speaking about, can come in only 2 forms that I know of: 1/
Wills, and 2/ Court Cases. My oldest Baldwin is whom you have mentioned Robert

well know Baldwin Genealogist named Seversmith. His work can be obtained from

Susan,
I assume you are probably descended from Joseph Baldwin of Milford, Ct., daughter
Sarah Baldwin born: Nov 6, 1653 in Milford, Ct. (m) as 2nd wife of Samuel
Bartlett of Northampton, Mass.. Both died before Feb 12, 1717. Information
comes from Charles Candee Baldwins Genealogy Book published in 1881.

Would like to contact anyone with a Baldwin family in either Boston or
Chelmsford, Mass. in the 1820s.
William D Baldwin married Nancy Cooper in Boston circa 1820. Son Samuel
Cooper Baldwin born 1824 in Chelmsford, Mass. Other children include:
a Junius, Virginia, Edwin and Imogen. Do any of these names sound familiar?
The family travelled around and settled at New Diggings, Wisconsin(?) in the
1850s. Samuel Cooper Baldwin emigrated to New Zealand then Australia circa
1852. Thanks.

I am looking for the parents and siblings of:
Marcellus Olmstead Baldwin, born 16 Oct 1840, somewhere in Ohio.
moved to Iowa, where he enlisted in the 9th Iowa
Infantry on 18 September 1861.
Married 19 April 1866 to Mary Jane Dunton, in
Dundee, Kane County, Illinois.
Moved about in Kansas and Iowa, practicing medicine,
altho I don't believe he was an actual doctor.
Recently I received a couple of genealogies from members of the list and there
is some conflicting info that I hope to sort out. One genealogy has the
earliest known Baldwin as John Baldwin b. 1415 England (spouse unknown) He is
listed as the father of William Baldwin b. 1441 Aylesbury Bucks England m.
Jane Aylesbury. Another son is listed as Sylvester Baldwin b. ? d. 1503 m.
Sarah Gelly. Does anyone have anything further on this John Baldwin? or any
info further back than this?
Both genealogies agree th

Susan,
On page 537, of The Baldwin Genealogy Book by Charles Candee Baldwin it
says:
425. John Baldwin b. and lived in New Milford, Ct., in that part known as
Mount Tom. My account of him is in confusion, and seems inconsistent with
itself. He married Susannah Bristol. His widow and only surviving
brother Abiel are his administrators, March 19,(?) 1803. He was, as
Deacon John, killed June 10,(?) 1803, by the fall of a tree. His widow

I am researching the Baldwins of New Haven, CT. I have two
questions which I hope someone on list might help me with. First of all, I
am trying to find out the names (and spouses' names) of all the children of

1659 in Milford, CT and died in 1698. His wife, apparently, was the
daughter of Thomas and Phebe (CRANE) Canfield/Campfield. Secondly, I am
trying to verify the ancestry of Theopilus. I have the following lineage:
