Charles, Lin, Janet-- Here is my take on the Elijah-Andrew connection. Sarah was born 1799, Elijah 1801, and maybe a brother James 1797. I figure that their father could not have been after before 1779, assuming there were no children before 1797. This father is the one we want to call James E. Barbee, who m. Sarah Martin. By the same sort of argument, James's father could not have been born after 1759. Earlier is fine, but probably we can put a ten year range on it, assuming both men
