In response to Linda's request for Oklahoma Barker information. There is a record of a Marriage between a Charlie Barker and Flora Maybra in Cheyenne OK. in January 1907. The marriage license states that Charlie was 19 years old and his parents were deceased. He stated that he had no guardian and was from Busch, OK. Flora stated she was from Merritt OK. Cheyenne is in Roger Mills County. Have information on some other Barkers in Ok. that moved there from Ky. William B. Barker moved to Beaver County,

Sarah Dennis married Elias Barker in Cooper Co, Mo on 20 Jul l829. My ancestors were Sterling Barker who married Lou Ann Ratten in Washington Co, Mo on 3 Dec l829. They later lived in Crfawford Co, Mo, Ballard Co, Ky, Parker Co, Texas, Hill Co, Texas, and Cooke Co, Texas. To Jean LR: That Susannah is close, but not the right one. The age I gave you, however, is wrong. My Susannah and that one would be pretty close in age. I was basing an approximate birthdate for her on the birthdate of her son who is my gg grandfather. I looked, though, and found that he was the 11th of 12 children. Her first one was born in 1769, so her birthdate would be closer to 1749, give or take. And she was born in VA, but I don't know where. My Susannah married Elijah Poston sometime bef

My maternal grandmother was born Mona Barker in 1898 to Thomas Herbert Barker and Annie Birks Thomas H was born c1864, lived in Belgrave Road, Trentham with his parents - Thomas and Elizabeth in 1881 and his siblings were: Ann E (1866) John J (1868) Arthur H (1870) Charity (1873) Albert E (1875) and Henrietta M (1877) All the family state born in Stoke on Trent I'm only just scrating the surface of this family line. I have a Susanna Barker who was born in VA (date not known), d. Bourbon Co. KY about 1814. She married Elijah Poston sometime before 1795 and I don't know if they married in VA or in KY. However, since they were both from VA, I suspect VA as their marriage place. Elijah was b. 1749 VA and d. 1811 Bourbon Co. KY. they had twelve children. Do these folks ring a bell with anyone.
