Hi, I've just joined the list. I understand that BARNARD is a form of BARNET. Is anyone researching either name in the East Yorkshire area? I have a JAMES BARNET who married JANE BARNET (i.e. same maiden name) in Keyingham, nr Hull in 1814. I've managed to trace James's baptism to Wistow, nr Cawood in North Yorkshire when he was JAMES BARNARD. Does anyone have BARNARDs of Little Weighton (Weeton), East Yorks in their tree? Is JANE the daughter of THOMAS and ANN BANARD? Help!! Jill.
