You have 6 children listed. They actually had 8 children. Their oldest son, Robert Herbert, was born December 31, 1929 and died December 17, 1968. There was also another daughter, who died during early childhood.
I would be grateful for any info you might have.
Thank you,
Sheryl

Hi. My name is E.Lisa Hyde. I think the Ethel Mae Barringer you are talking about is my Aunt. She was born on January 22, 1924. I'm not sure when she married, but her last name was Fountain after she got married. I know that she passed away on January 18, 2000. If this might be the right one, I do have a list of the other Aunts and Uncles. Aunt Ethel was born in Wauseon, Ohio. My mother was born in Swanton, Ohio. I have not found any records of her birth yet. Please feel free to email me and I wil
Geri--If you want to delve into your husband's genealogy, go to the
rootsweb.com website and start exploring. You'll find that there are
instructions there for beginning genealogists. What you'll learn is that
you must start with what you know, and work toward the unknown. Start
with the facts you have: your husband's birth date, place, and family.
Go to the records and find his parents and siblings--through birth

I have a George Barringer as well so I though I would include him with the
rest. He was born abt 1828 in Virginia (West) and married Mary Shirley 1848

Possible siblings include a Charles, James, John , Jasper and Mary. George

Do any of you have a William and/or George Barringer, sons of a Joseph
Barringer born the area of PA/MD/VA? Hagerstown, MD and Winchester, VA are
definitely connected to this William and George but as this is an area that
several states come together, the area around Chamberburg PA and
Mantinsburg, WV could possibly have some connection (not necessarily those
towns directly, but that general area). These Barringers (William and
George) were born around the 1780's and moved to Meigs County, OH from

To Linda, and Norman Barringer--I know there were some
BARRINGER/BERNINGERS in Columbus in the 1870's and 1880's, because my
gg-grandmother was there and her maiden name was BERNINGER, but think I
have seen others there in that time frame. I suggest trying to find her
birth record in Franklin Co, OH, in 1823, then if no luck, maybe trying
to find it in Fairfield Co., where there were also a couple of early
BARRINGER/BERNINGERS. Know there were also some about 1860-1870 in
Champaign and Logan Co's. You migh
