I am new to the Barringer list. I am looking for additional info on my g-g-grandmother Mary Etta Barringer b. 19 Aug 1822 Blenheim, Schoharie Co., NY and d. 14 April 1882 Hunter, Greene Co., NY. Hello, Not to get away from specifics of posting families; but, Conquest Music's point regarding my post was well taken. I have tried for so long to get information on my g,grandfather William Barringer who enlisted at Uniontown, Pa. in 1861, I have the list for all of the men who served in the Pa 79 cavalry and the list describes what happened to the men. My g, grandfather saw 5 major battles, 17 skirmishes and the entire Siege of Vicksburg where he then was honorably discharged in 1864.(He was promoted
