Hello everyone! Great News! I spent the entire day at the NC State
Archives today and found some info on my Barringer line. I've posted this
line before with no luck, but I only knew father (I found his will today),
mother, son, and grandaughter. Now I know the siblings of the son and I
wanted to post the names to see if any of this rings a bell (this info is
just from the will, nothing else, but I have more for dates, etc.):
1. Nicholas Barringer d. 1840/1

recognized anything.

Hello,
I just got the PA. Death Certificate on my g, grandfather, William
Barringer; and, I am hoping that now that I can give his parents names maybe
someone on the list will recognize my info.
William was born December 11, 1838 at Houston Run. I believe that must be
in PA. William died at Monongahela, PA. on September 17, 1906.
William's parents were: George Barringer b. in Fayette Co. and Mary b. PA.
As I have stated in previous postings, William first married a Mary Ann Rose
who died in 1879. Th
This information is from the 1850 Census for Cockstown, Fayette Co. PA. I am
almost positive the Barringer's from Fayette Co. were originally in Bedford
Co., PA and Washington/Frederick Co., MD. I am descended from these
Barringer's as well. My ancestor, Laurence Barringer, and at least one son,
Jacob moved from Bedford Co. to Fayette Co around 1820. There are scant
records of all these Barringer's, and it has been difficult trying to figure
out which Barringer's went with which family, but it's a
Thank you so much. I believe that we have a match. I just consulted my
record of the Civil War Rolls for the 79th Penna. Infantry. Both my William
Barringer and a John Barringer, joined on September 7, 1861. I always
wondered if they were brothers. Then a George Barringer joined September 9,
1861. George was later transferred to Veterans Reserve Corps, September -
1863. I thought that he, too, might have been a brother. Do you think that
he was their father?
They all three were in Company "D". Willi
Kenneth Beringer...In my sleepy state at this time of night I
accidentally hit the wrong button and lost your message and address. I
would love to have the information you offered. I have nothing on Anna
Beringer and Daniel Smyers except that she was born 1810 and died 1876
and is buried in Bower Cem., in Gaskill Twp. I have 1805 for Daniel's
birth.
I've collected quite a lot of data on the Beringers...what are you
missing that I might have???? Please let me know.

Hello everyone! I have been far to negligent of these lists this semester

As always, if any of you have concerns, questions, suggestions, etc., you
are more than welcome to email me directly either here or on AOL at
