John Clement, I have such a problem with posting my work on the internet. Glad you're brave.
One of the recent and most flagrant examples of forcing relationships is the one I found yesterday. Someone has posted a tree which tries to claim a relationship with an Amos Draper Jr to the Amos G. Draper who married Luella Bell Merrill (familiarly known as Bell Merrill Draper, a genealogist for DAR and national officer in the early part of 20th century). What this person so foolishly failed to realize is t

Is there anyone that can help me understand where I should send the DNA
testing kit to after I have my brothers' DNA? Although I am related to the
Team 11 Bartlett line I am wanting to chase down my dad's Bryant line. I
want to order the kit but I am not sure which I should get, the 33 or 46.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Family Tree DNA has announced a pretty good sale on DNA testing that is paid
for before 12/31/08.
I can't quote pricing here, but the cost of the 37 marker test (Y-DNA37) is
almost down to what the 12 marker test was.
This is probably a result of competition with some new companies in the DNA
business, as well as fancy new equipment that makes the testing more
efficient.
FTDNA is by far the largest and best DNA company - fair, professional,
responsive, etc. We recently had a an unusual result,

Dee;
The short answer is that you send your kit to the company you bought it
from. Usually they give you a preaddressed envelop with the kit. There are
several companies that offer DNA testing - some old and established (like
FTDNA); some are new startups.
The only way DNA works is by comparing your results to others with the same
SURNAME. So you want a company that has an Administrator who will help you
and has a lot of BRYANTs to compare you results to.

My best wishes to all the Bartlett researchers for a safe New Year's Eve and good hunting in 2009. Am trying to consolidate all the info I have on Richard of Newbury and his descendants into one database. Along the way I'm picking up info on the other early NE Bartletts, not including Robert of Plymouth. That's well documented.
So, anyone with questions, don't hesitate to write.

Have just located a lot of info on George Bartlett of Guilford in the Register (NEHGS) and elsewhere.
Also, it appears that Thomas of Watertown did not have heirs bearing the Bartlett surname.
Just got the book on using Google for genie research. Google has a browser called Google Chrome.
Don't forget to Google on the town you're interested in, i.e., History of New Haven, or whatever. Amazing what you can find. Google will let you keep the info in your library.

We just got in the DNA results of a second BARCLIFT - it's a 24/25 (very
good) match between them; and now pretty much establishes their
Perquimans Co, NC line. I need to find out more info on each of their
lines to see where their common ancestor is and how they tie in. Now if
we could just get a BARTLETT from this line to test, that would clinch
it.

If there are any BARTLETTs from Garner's line; or any BERKLEY/BERKELEYs from
VA roots, you can NOW verify descent from this line with a matching DNA
test. In other words, the "DNA signature" for this line from 1690 is now
established - so anyone who gets a DNA test and matches, can assume descent
from this line.
Additional clarification:
This DNA line, which I now call Group E, applies only to the

Jim, I have a question. Are these results going to appear anywhere other than the mailing lists? Seem to remember some comment in the past about a website other than the one Sandra Taylor had/has.
