Sounds like you may have the Richards sorted, but what about the Ansels? There was more than one Ansel. The Ansel born c.1783 is most commonly associated with one of the Richard Bearden families in Georgia. The Ansel born c. 1775 and who lived most of his life in Alabama and died in Jefferson County after 1850 is another question. I am a descendent of this man and have researched him for over 30 years. I tried researching my Beardens and finally gave up as I had to do some real work to make a living. My fathers sister was born Mattie Ruth Bearden. I am Cecil Bearden my father is Roy C. Bearden, my Grandfather was John Onan Bearden who married a Kittley. John Onan Bearden was a descendent of John Jackson Bearden who was married about 4 times.
