4. ** Belgians in Wilson County Kansas ** [0.979608]
I recently discovered that several of my Belgian relatives moved from Blackford County Indiana (Hartford City) to Wilson County Kansas (Fredonia), around 1903 (after the glass boom fizzled in Indiana). In the process of searching the 1910 Wilson County KS microfilm, I noticed that there were lots of Belgian immigrants living in Wilson County KS in 1910, and most of them had occupations related to working in glass factories. I was wondering how many of the list members have ancestors who lived in Kansas?

There is a list per state at my web site: http://www.ping.be/picavet/Waas_America_Settle02.shtml#Settlement I also have a list per county in my computer, also based on the 1990 census. It has taken me many days to extract all that information from the census records, so I should do something with it. Christine, You are correct. The digests are shorter, because we did change the limits from 32K to 20K, to please our AOL members (and others). They (about 1/3 of our list members) did have problems to open some large digests. As a consequence you receive more digests, but shorter. Hi Bruno,, the information in "Emigranten naar Amerika" does not include this information yet. They are still working on new books I think. However. Hi Friends, I have just finished transcribing the 1830 census from Grez-Doiceau. There are 2200 individuals listed and other wonderful data.
