1. [BELLOWS] BELLOWS (Bellus) (Beilleaux) (Belleau) (de Belleau) 1829 Brick Wall [1]
Eugene Bellows of Fairfax, Franklin County Vermont b. June 02, 1829 in either Fairfax or Middlebury, Addison County Seeking anyone who can help connect him to his origins. Family letters generalize that the family came from Belleau, France in the Aisne-Marne area about 40 miles NE of Paris. Traveled as Huguenot refugees into the Netherlands, then to England, where name spellings seem to have evolved to Bellows.. Immigrated from England to Acadia (Maritime Provinces, Canada) in pre-Scots times. During Acad

3. [BELLOWS] Re: Eleazar & Sarah Bellows of Southboro [1]
Hi Dorothy, Are you talking about the Eleazer Bellows b. 1 Aug 1696 in Marlborough, MA? (That's the only Eleazer I know of who married a "Sarah"). I was confused by your statement "Have William". This Eleazer did not have a son named William. There has been some speculation that Sarah's maiden name may have been Hubbard, but I have never found any convincing evidence to show this is true. Please see the BELLOWS Family Genealogy site at for more information concer

5. [BELLOWS] John Bellows, Lancaster, NH [1]
Is there any member of the Bellows family who has any knowledge of what became of the stuffed Morgan horse owned by John Bellows of Lancaster? The horse, Sherman Morgan, was a famous son of Justin Morgan, founder of the Morgan breed. Sherman Morgan was also the sire of the very famous Black Hawk. It is said his body was stuffed and preserved and could be seen at the home of George Bellows in Lancaster. That is the last written information I can locate. Any information would be greatly apprecia
6. [BELLOWS] Any information about Ralph Shelley Wood, Senior or his wife? [1]
My grandfather, Ralph Shelley Wood, Jr., received the book titled "The Bellows Family of Walpole, N.H." by Henry Bellows in 1912 from his grandfather Charles Bellows. Charles is the son of Theodore Bellows who is the son of Col. Benjamin Bellows. This book is now in my possession and only dates back to 1855. I also have a book from Emily Barnes written in 1888. I'm interested in knowing more about my Wood family history around the late 1800's (Were does Ralph Shelley Wood, Senior come into the t

11. [BELLOWS] Mahala Jane Bellows [1]
I am searching for information about Mahala(h) Jane Bellows. A line on a page from an old family Bible states that she was an orphan girl, descended from the Bellows families of New Hampshire and Vermont and that Mahala could trace her ancestory back to Mayflower. This entry is old enough that she may have been alive when it was written; it does not give her date of death, yet. Her birth year may have been 1804. She was raised by Gen. Jacob Brown, famous in the war of 1812. I found a source which named
12. Re: [BELLOWS] Charles or Harry Bellows [1]

13. [BELLOWS] Re: {not a subscriber} Bellows family information [1]
Hi Terry, Thanks for your input regarding the Johns and Jothams. The message you were posting appears to be cut off (see below for what came through) so you might want to finish where you left off. First, it *is* important to me to have as accurate information as possible. The internet, and these mailing lists, offer a great opportunity for exchange, and for improving the accuracy of what is posted. Second, I would be a fool to think that everything that I have posted is completely accurate. I am sorry t

22. Frank S. Bellows, Wilmington, VT [1]
Deerfield Valley Times, 1900 Reunion Edition, Wilmington, VT Frank S. Bellows Frank S. Bellows is a good type of the industrious, energetic, mechanic, at once a capitalist and a laborer, a most useful class of citizens in our Vermont towns. In 1889 he came to Wilmington and purchased a half interest in the mills of his brother-in-law, L P. Copeland and a year later became sole owner. Since that time he has largely refitted and refurnished the mills with up-to-date machinery, including a powerful cid
