Hello
I just Subscribed to this site and I am looking for any leads on the Bickers
in my family.
They mostly come from Hannover and Barkhausen Germany.
They later settled in the Cleveland Ohio area.
Herman J. Bicker married Bertha Christianer around the early 1900's on Ohio
Hermans parents were Ernst F. Bicker and Friedrike Wiscmeyer, they were also
from the Ohio area.
Friederike's parents were Casper Wiscmeyer and Elizabeth Obertoeten
Ernst Bicker's parents were Henry J. (J.H.) Bicker and Maria Elisabeth
Michelle,
Yes there are. I am researching my BICKER roots back thru Germany to
Austria. I have not been real successful in tracing them in Europe.

Frank Bicker

Greetings:
I subscribed to this list because I descend from Jane Bicker who married Thomas Sutton. Jane's parents were Moses Bicker and Mary Ann Marsh. All of these are from Ash near Sandwich, Kent, England. Is anyone else researching this family. I would be glad to hear from them.
Sincerely,
Hilery in Ontario
Hi Maggie
Sorry not been in contact lately. Just started new

hectic at the moment.
I do have a question for you. Did you have twin boys
in your family and if so what where their names?
Hope all is well. I shall be getting properly started

Hi Michelle,
I am having trouble sending to your email address.
Obviously I cannot send details of living persons to
the list. For some reason Yahoo say you do not have
an email address!! I will try again but if you do not
receive an email from me before this digest comes out
- please contact me.
Yes - my mother had twin brothers - Albert and Alfred.
Regards,
Maggie

Hi Michelle,
Yes, I am subscribing at the moment although I seem to
be stuck on the BICKER line. Why did we have so many
grandfathers with the name William?
For other member of the list, I am researching the
BICKER line in Kent - the same line as Michelle. She
is related to my grandfather's younger brother.
I would be interested to hear from any BICKER in
Canada (or elsewhere) who is a child (or grandchild)
of Frederick William BICKER.
Best wishes,
Maggie

Michelle,
I am registered on the Bicker mailing list. I have traced my line back to
Charles Bicker in Philadelphia 1840 and later. I believe my line is from
Austria, but I have had a difficult time establishing that fact.

Yes, I'm registered on the Bicker mailing list. I'm researching the ancestors of
William Westly BICKERS in Illinois who married Dorcus SELF and had a daughter
BelleDonna BICKERS who married 1) Ira Hawn of Douglas Co., IL, they had a daughter
(I believe, per 1900 census); 2) James Alfred AUSTIN of Coles Co., IL, they had two
children: Amyle Alfred AUSTIN and his sister Ina AUSTIN who was adopted at only 2-3
months old after the death of her mother BelleDonna BICKERS in 1909 from what is

dear all,
My grandmother has today received a letter from a lady
living in Vienna who is trying to contact a lady by
the name of FELICITY BICKER (nee ramsey). The letter
was actually sent in October and was in connection
with a family reunion and has been doing the rounds of
the BICKERS of KENT in the hope that someone might
know something.
Felicity BICKER apparently lived in scarborough with
her family until she married. The last she was heard
of was working at a hospital in Canterbury calld St
Agnes.
just a quicknote to say merry christmas and happy new
year to you all.
in the new year i will be posting all the details i
have about my bicker relations so hopefully we will be
able to see if there are any links to each other.

Hi Jim,
I'm not Hillary, but I found your note informative. I am a Bickers' decented & have had absolutely NO luck finding any information on the Bickers line. My grandmother was Mildred Pearl Bickers (DOB 2-22-1918). On of our stumbling blocks is that we have no idea what her father's first name was and he seems to have completely dropped off the face of the earth when she was 9 months old. Her mother was Henrietta Pearl (Jones) Bickers (DOB 1894). Any helpful information, links, or other Bickers con
Dear List,
I'm just wondering if there is anyone on this list. I subscribed in November and haven't received one letter yet so I'm just checking to see if anything is wrong.
Thanks,
Hilery in Ontario
Hi Hillary,
There has not been a lot of activity on this list lately. There is nothing
wrong with your setup. I have many Bickers Newsletters that I hope to be
getting put on my website. The newsletters were written by Lucyle Bickers
Middleton who has provided many Bickers cousins with her research. I am unaware
of anyone putting her newsletters on the internet. I have spoken with her and
she said she shared her research and was very receptive to my posting her
newsletters. I hope to get
Greetings! I am a new subscriber to the BICKER list. I have participated
with several local lists (Phila, Southern NJ) for quite a while.
I look foward to hearing from others interested in the BICKER surname.

Dear All
I am a new subscriber to this list but have been researching my mother's
family for 2/3 years. All of her relatives and ancestors lived in Ayrshire,
Scotland (mainly the parishes of St Quivox and Newton-on-Ayr) until around
1880 by when most had moved to the city of Glasgow. In my research I have
amassed quite a lot of information on Bicker (and Bicket) in Ayrshire where
there were a number of families. I have information going back to about
1730.
I would be delighted to share this with anyone
