1. Re: [BIRD-L] Loranzo Burton Bird, born 1824 TN [1]
Hi Danny, I live in Arkansas, I am very familiar with Mayflower. I believe there is another Birdtown in Jackson Co.AR My Bird family comes as quite a surprise to me, but I am very certain they are Birds and not Boyds. They are not yet official, but I am in the process of documenting them. My great grandmother M Julia Bird born AR in 1876 was the dau of James Bird, born 1854,TN son of LB Bird bornTN 1824. M Julia married CW Tucker in 1895. CW owned the first telephone exchange in Conway County AR in 1903. A

4. Re: [BIRD-L] TN Bird/Byrd [1]
Marla, Back from the War and was going through my piles of genealogy records in an attempt to organize them earlier today. Got an e-mail from Genda Todd and sat down to give her a call when I saw your e-mail. The name Seaton rang a bell as I had just seen it in some of my collected research....so here goes. I copied the following from a book at a Library in Indiana two years ago and then filed it away. The title on the four page copy is "Descendants of John and David Bird of Green County, Tenness
5. [BIRD-L] Re: Samuel Bird Hannah Bird K&Q Co., VA [1]
Launa, thank you for sending this along. The Samuel Bird in your letter would have to be born before 1714 in order to be a witness of the Will of Jonathan Clark. My Samuel Bird sold a tract of land in Franklin Co. VA in 1815, then he seems to disappear. He would have had to been very, very old. However, this is very interesting. Supposedly, there is a connection to my Birds with the Clark/Rogers family, too. About that 1749 Essex Co. VA Deed, this is interesting, too, with Philemon Bird and Joh

I have a connection to Anderson families. My gr gr gr grandparents were Jordan Coleman b. abt 1770 VA and Nancy Anderson B. abt 1784 SC. I say SC because on the 1850 census for Bedford CO TN a Nancy age 66 b. SC is in the home of Joshua C. Coleman b. 1823 TN and his wife Sarah Ann [Sally] Bird/Byrd b. 1826 TN. I have read of connections to Anderson, Byrd and Coleman family members in the area of Bedford and Rutherford Co. TN. Joshua's 2nd wife was Jane Floyd Bearden b. 1818 TN widow of John Bearden. I al
15. [BIRD-L] Loranzo Burton Bird, born 1824 TN [1]
I have just discovered my gg grandfather is Loranzo Burton Bird, at least I think he is a Bird. The 1880 census of Hardin TWP, Faulkner County AR had him as Boyd, but I discovered his marriage record in Conway Co AR, where in 1858 he married to Minerva C(Caroline) Campbell and he is LB BIRD on that record. If he is a BIRD, this would explain the great difficulty I have had in finding him as I have spent several years looking for the Boyd connection, which apparently didn't exist. My hope is that someone in

I am interested in the 1824 birth date for LB Bird. I have a Sarah Ann {Sally}Bird /Byrd b. 1826 TN she is my great great grandmother. IN Shelbyville, Bedford CO TN is a marriage certificate dated 1840 stating she married J. C. Coleman b. 1823 TN. Sallie Bird Coleman d. 1850 after the 1850 census. Also there is a history of alot of families from TN going to AR , to get away from the heated talks about slaves. 18. Re: [BIRD-L] Loranzo Burton Bird, born 1824 TN [1]
The Conway County Arkansas Bird connection is interesting. My Great Great Uncle, George Thomas Bird moved his family from Marion County Alabama/Monroe County, Mississippi to Conway County, Ark around 1860 or so at the beginning of the Civil War. They settled in a place called Mayflower at the time. The same place is called Birdtown in Conway County today after his family name. I drove through there three weeks ago and talked to some of the descendants. George joined the 1st Arkansas Federal Calvary

Marla.....found this on an internet search Benjamin SEATON was born in 1768 in Stafford, Virginia. He died in Chuckey, Horse Creek, Greene Co., Tennessee on Sep 8, 1859, when he was 91. He was buried in 1859 on a farm near Cedar Grove, Greene Co., Tennessee. His wife was buried there in 1858. Benjamin was probably married more than once. At least one source indicates that he served in the Revolutionary War. In 1785 when Benjamin was 17, he married Mary Elizabeth BIRD, in Richmond, Richmond Co.,
