I have a Susan Byrd of the Buncombe/Yancey, N.C., area that married Jacob Honeycutt ca. 1810. They had a son, Stephen Morgan Honeycutt. In my search for ancestors, I have found no Morgans whatsoever in the Honeycutt line...so I look to the traditional maternal influence on that middle name of Stephen Morgan. Hello everyone, I know a lot of people have been waiting to hear from me, and I apoligize that I have not gotten back to many of you before now. However, for over 3 months now my health has been very poor, and I have had numerous doctors appointments, tests, including ultrasounds, CAT SCANs and MRI. I'm also looking for a Byrd family for this same time period. The area caught my eye. My grandmother was a Tate, b. in Hancock Co. Tenn, but mother from Lee Co. VA. Supposedly her grandfather Tate was married to a Byrd. Next to him at a small cemetery is buried Rev. Peter A. Byrd b. Dec 14 1858 in VA. Peter's wife was Nancy Cornelia Byrd b. Oct 17 1868. Still looking for the parents of William Cam Byrd, born June 20, 1865 in either Lee Co., VA or Hancock Co., TN, died July 10, 1918 in Middlesboro, KY.
