as spouse and children: Landon-4 and James -1. I think Elizabeth, Landon
and James are mine, but the Enoch name is not familiar. Would love to know
more about him.
Thanks!

Fellow "BIRD-scribers",
Last month, a message sent to our list by Sandra Ragan / Plum Grafik was
distributed to the BIRD list. For those of you who are of that line, this
message will stretch the vertical capabilities of your FTM fileby taking you
back yet another 35 generations.
I subscribe to this list looking for the parents of my earliest known BIRD
ancestor, JOHN BIRD (b. Nov 4, 1792 in Pendleton Co., VA / d. May 12, 1869 in
Trivoli, Peoria Co., Ill) who married MARGARET HAYS (b. April 3, 179

Hope you'll visit and submit your BIRD and BURD infomation.

Thomas,
You said your John Bird had 10 children and died in IL. I am still lookin
for the parents of my Justin Bird listed on the 1850 Bond Co IL census at
age 21 with Benjamin Bird, 19 and John Bird, 18 (brothers?). Could you
list the 10 children of your John Bird for the list? TIA

Thought I'd give this another try. There's not a soul living who has
any information on this family - even though Myra Sutherland was
my great-aunt!
Fred I. BIRD (birth unk) md Myra SUTHERLAND, b 1882, Barney's River, N.S.
They met/married in Persia (Iran). Myra was a medical missionary and
I believe Fred was professor at American University in Teheran. They had
daughter, Jean born in Persia probaby before 1918 and they returned to U.S.
sometime before US entered WWI.

Kimberly,
I don't have information for you but the name you are uncertain of
reminded me of my Aunt Tennie. Her full name (that I have never heard
used) is Tennessee. You might consider the possibility of that being used
in records and also may be a clue as to family origin.

My Bird friends:
In my previous post on the book, I need to clarify that when I said my
ex-spouse of a Byrd, I meant a fellow I work have worked with for 20 plus
years...
I am of the Byrds who landed in Robertson Co TN late 1700s,early 1800s,
seemed to have ancestors in Pittsylvania, Henry, Franklin, Russell, VA,
etc....carried chains, signed petitions, bought land, were on tax lists,
appeared in all manner of "primary" documents BUT NOT wills and marriages.
AARGH!!
Of course they did move with
I have JANE BIRD, b. 24 Jan 1815, Carroll Co., TN; d. 28 Jul 1876, Holt Co., MO.
She m. 1 Oct. 1831, in Carroll Co., TN, ROBERT KIMMINS ROSS (1809-1899).
Jane's parents were JOHN and RACHEL BIRD. Does anyone have data on this line?

Fellow Byrd Researchers:
I thought the attached would be of interest. I have Quakers in NC. I am
curious about who author William Byrd III is. I will ask my ex-spouse of a
Westover Byrd tomorrow.

In 1791, Susan (Susannah) Bird was the wife of James Earle, and the
couple lived in Huntington Twp of Luzerne Co PA. A History of the
Huntington Valley said that Susan Bird was from Canaan (Litchfield
County) CT. I have found a number of Birds who lived in Salisbury Town,
next door to Canaan, in Litchfield Co, but so far, no Susan; there was a
Joseph Bird of Canaan who married a Huldah Sprague of Canaan, but that
is the closest I`ve been able to get. Has anyone in the group heard of
Susan? Jim Hannum
I also descend from the Tilghman and Bird lines.
I am always very sceptical of such many generations and bet there is a LOT of very creative connections. the likelihood of this being accurate in exponentially
mind boggling.
any ideas of how accurate such lines may be or how they are gathered in the first place?

I am looking for the proverbial "needle in a haystack"!!! I am looking for
the family of Mary Frances Bird b. ca1828 in Illinois, or maybe Ohio. She
married John Solomon Williams around 1844 in Kentucky. Does anyone have
anyone like this in their family?
Thanks,
Joyce
