List members,
This was sent to me by Bill Hunt. It is supposed to be a compilation of Birds
in the 1788-1790 Personal Property Tax Lists for each county, compiled by
Binns. It is meant to be a substitute tool of the burned 1790 Virginia Census.
I sorted the Birds back by the County. Any comments or additions to this list
would be extremely helpful. Which ones would most likely be the descendents of
Col. William Byrd of Westover? I am not familiar with all the county
changes.
I am a descenden
Hi all,
As I have bugged all of you with my emails [for those of you who may not have read them, each family name that I have sent this message to has a person with that name buried at the cemetery] about research on the Clapp Factory, Cemetery and Village, I thought I'd bug you again about the clean up and other wonderful progress we have made. On Saturday, March 29th from 8 - 6 the Clapp Factory Cemetery Preservation League (we are working on our incorporation papers and non-profit status) is having a c
Benjamin Tallman(wife Dinah Boone) lived on Smith's Creek........so did
Andrew Bird(wife: Magdelene Jones). The Tallman's moved to Pickaway County,
Ohio. A son of John and Rachel (POWNALL) Peters lived very close to the
Tallman's in Pickaway County, Ohio.
One of Benjamin Tallman's descendents married a Slavens.
Benjamin => James => Rebecca Slavens m. Reuben Slavens
The Slaven's were from the Staunton, VA area. Possibly 5 Peters married
Slavens in Pike County, Ohio:
Milton Peters m. Rut
Hi Listers:
Someone once told me that there was an association for the descendants of Benjamin Freeman Bird of NJ>NY>UT. There are a lot of GEDCOMs etc. posted on the LDS site concerning his siblings and ancestors, but there are no sources. Does anyone know where this data comes from, or can anyone put me in touch with the association? I'm trying to trace the lines of two of his brothers, Charles Marsh Bird and Samuel Jacques Bird.
Thanks,
Judy
Hello all Birds,
I am seeking an abstract of the will of Thomas Bird, "apothecary", who died
in Braintree, Essex in 1662. Does anyone on BIRD-L have this particular
will? It is listed in F.G. Emmison's "Wills at Chelmsford".
Before I contacted the ERO, I thought it might be a good idea to check the
Bird list first.
Thanks in advance,
Dr. Steven Bird

Hello all,
You are receiving this email as your last name is one of the family names buried at the CLAPP'S Factory Cemetery in Columbus, GA or owners of the factory. We need help for the cemetery in several ways:
There are several that we have not located any family (even distant). When I got involved with this in May, I didn't have family there simply started this as it was the right thing to do for my community. Last month after reading some of the genealogy compiled on some of the families, foun
A few days ago my server suddenly refused to recognize my address, and started bouncing messages. As a result, I was "unsubscribed" from at least some of the boards I regularly visit. I assume that, if I get this back, I'm still "subscribed" to the responding board. Sorry to bother you all.
Hi all. I just realized that Abraham Bird was left off...has anyone found any
other strays? Thanks, Marla
