I'm researching the Charles BLACK family who were prosperous farmers in
the Rockford, Winnebago Co, IL, area. They originated in County Sligo,
Ireland. Charles immigrated to the US about 1846 without his family.
He settled in the Chester Co, PA, area, and after 2 years sent for his
wife Eliza HALL and their first children. They lived in PA for about 10
years, then moved to the Winnebago Co, IL, area. Some of their children
moved to Brown County, KS.
