Researching my grandmother born 1892, Sarah Elizabeth BLACK at 6 Clyde
Place, Throston, Hartlepool, County of Durham, England. Father ~ John
Thomas BLACK, shipyard labourer; Mother ~ Mary Ann formerly KAISER. Sarah
came to Canada in 1912 aboard the Saturnia at age 20 years and went to Owen
Sound, Ontario to work as a domestic.
To date this is the only info I have until I start looking into the UK
census, etc.

I am seeking information on the ancestors of my great-great-grandfather
Samuel Finley Black (1819-1885) who was a resident of Jefferson County,
Illinois. He was married to Mary A Rightnowar with whom he had had 4
children - Henry, Mary, Amanda and Rosa Beth. He was later married to
Mary Emily Thompson with whom he had 3 children - General Wade, Martha
Jane, and John Robert.

Livingston Co., MO. He had the following children: Henry, born 1828 in OH;
William Harrison, born 1832 in OH; Harriet (my gg grandmother), born 1838 in
