Pat in Texas and Ken, Saw your posts re James Black -Jenny and wondered if we have a connection. Our Blacks have a Jenny Black, daughter of John and Isabel Black, who married William Brown. Jenny and William Brown had a daughter, Jenny, who married James Black, brother to Andrew, David, Elizabeth and John. Jenny and James Black were the parents of James Randall Black who was in Benton (Calhoun) Co. AL. Not sure of the AK from your post and the 1836?? Royce in Texas

Pat and whoever else: In ref to James Black in AR in 1836. In Hempstead Co. Ar. area in 1836 and there were three James Blacks. James Black the famous blacksmith, Rev. James Henderson Black Presyb. minister, and James Harvey Black Hempstead/Sevier Counties.) James Harvey is my great-great grandfather.
