I am searching for any information regarding Robert Black and Maria Poff
(?) of Pennsylvania. I am searching for their descendants - in particular,
regarding their daughter Olive Leona Black who married Samuel R Carnahan.
She died in 1927 in PA.
Does anyone have information on Edward Lewis Black from the Pontiac,
Michigan area. He was married to Marie but I do not have a maiden name for
her. I only know of one child named Eddie Lewis Black or possibly Lewis
Eugene Black. I believe there were brothers and sisters to Eddie but I do
not know their names.
Both Edward and Marie are deceased and died in the late 1920's.
I would like any information on any of the family members if anyone knows.

Subject: Who is Josiah?
> Josiah Black shows up on early tax records in Kentucky in Green and
Lincoln co. 1790-95. His wife was Rebecca Oglethorpe. They both died
around 1810 and are buried in Lincoln Co. After their death the children
moved to Ind. and Ill. mostly Vigo and Clark county. I have the lineage
from the parents down but not the parents on either side
This really is a neat page. You may ask what does this have to do with
genealogy? Well, it helps gain insight to how our ancestors lived, and there
are links here that do have some surnames and family history information as
well.
Enjoy,

Hi List,
I'm researching the name William BLACK. He is reported to be born "near Kings
Mountain", NC, 1772. He married Sarah Stevens. Family may have been in MD,
before moving to OH. William died before 1860, Richland, Ashland, Ohio. Other
members of the family moved on to Lawrence Co., IL. Would like to make
contact with others researching this family.

As you have seen, I'll be helping Erin out for a little while. I've been with the list for quite some time, but have been quiet. I also am administrator for a number of other lists.
I think as far back as I know, thanks to cousin Jan, is John Black who married Jain. They both died in Pulaski county, Kentucky, in the 1830's.

Hi! I am also interested in John Black who died in 1830 in Pulaski County,
Kentucky. I know that his wife's first name was Jain, but I cannot find any
proof that her last name was Newell. I am also unable to locate evidence
supporting the idea that John Black's father was William. Can you help?
