Samuel H BLACK's son was the one married to my ggrandmother, his name
was Henry BLACK. Thats all I know.

Lewis Sibbert Black aged 15/16 ( My great Uncle) He ran away from home
in 1862 from Nottingham, England, sailed to the United Stated where he
joined the Union Army with the 97 New York Regiment, He was involved in
a few engagements, was wounded, captured by the Confederate Army.

Thomas Black born 1821, his wife Ann born 1822, they are listed as
having 7 children the 1861 census (Parish of Lenton, Nottingham,
England). In the 1881 census ( High street, Beeston, Nottingham,
England) Thomas was married to Eliza and had 2 more children.
I am trying to find out the following information (1) Thomas & Ann
Black's date of marriage.

Hoping to contact people I have corresponded with over the years or anyone
that is interested in doing further research on Peter Black, b. 7 July 1772,

Found an obit. that states that Peter was born in Spain, came to U.S. at age

He was married to my ggrandmother, I have no information on him or where
he may have came from and would very much like to find out all I can
about him.
There is a Peter Black on the 1785 tax list for Cumberland Co. PA owning 276 acres. By 1804 I have a will of a Jacob Kirsh alias Cherry who mentions his daughter Elizabeth wife of Peter Swarz. I have a 1814 deed concerning Jacob's children that mentions a Peter Black and wife and then a Peter Black and Elizabeth his wife before the Justice of the Peace in Cumberland Co. in 1817 regarding that deed. Researchers in my line are pretty sure that this Peter Black listed in 1785 in Cumb. Co. is the husband of
