Hi! My interest is in John Black, died 1830 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. His
wife was Jain. Their son Moses Black (1784-1864) married Katherine Dye
(1788-1872) in 1812 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Moses had a son named Moses
Black (1821-1868) who married Polly Mullican (1822-1902). That branch of the
Black family immigrated to Linn County, Kansas. I have been trying to trace
this direct line for some time. Can you help?

Hi! I have no idea who the parents of John Black were (he died 1830 in
Pulaski County, KY). I am not sure of his date of birth either. I also have
no information on whether or not John Black had any siblings. It is an
unsolved mystery.
What I am looking for is some documentation, such as a will.
Thank you,

Hi Listers, I am trying to learn more about James Sebourne Black, his
descendants, siblings and ancestors. (His middle name is sometimes written
"Seaborn".)
According to information from the Sloan mailing list, he was born in KY in
1810, and died in Ouachita Co., AR, in 1857. He married, probably in AR,
Caroline Missouri Sloan (ca. 1818-1882).
We believe they had a daughter, Margaret Jeanne Black, who married James
Madison Brown. This couple had a son, Madison Sloan Brown, born ca. 1875.
