Hello, my name is Garrett Lorton. I too am looking for some Blacks from the Herrick, Ill. area. My grandfather was Anderson Black, he died in 1957, and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetary in between Cowden and Herrick. Any info would be great. Thanks!!!

Sorry - I must of missed your reply. My William Black had a daughter who married an Alexander Osborne (according to William's 1763 will) but I do not know anything elso about this line, including the daughter's first name. There were lots of "Black"s in Mecklenburg Co. NC.
