Hi all. This has been a pretty good group as far as emails go, thanks.

every single email to figure out what it's about and then learn that it
doesn't pertain to us, especially when we have about 200 emails left to look
at every day:(. so, I would like to suggest a format (and those on
Hi all y'all. I'm sending a copy of a post I received on another list (I
belong to about 10 genealogy lists). If any of you have already received
this, I'm sorry. The rest of you.....read on:

My great-great grandparents were George Washington and Martha Whimple
(Wimple) Black. Martha died around 1877 when my great grandfather William
Stripling Black (b. 1875 somewhere in Indiana) was 2 years old. George
died before 1887 (I think). William lived with an uncle or older brother
for a period of time and ran away. William married Molley Beaver(s) (d.
1905) about 1900 in either Oklahoma or Texas. William died in Shafter, CA
in the early 50's. If any one has any information on George and Martha

Hi Terri,
Yes, Isaac Black was from Ross County Ohio. I think Huntington Twp. If
not it would be Twin Township. I have some information in regards to him but
at this moment can not way exactly what. I do know that his name appears on

Terri,
I thought your Isaac was from Ross County Ohio. You now say he is from
Fairfield County Ohio. I find that Ken MacAllister has an Isaac Black also.
His is from Ross County Ohio. Sorry, I misunderstood you. I do not know
anything about your Isaac Black. I am in Iroquois County Il., which is the
county that adjoins Vermilion County Il. . Sorry about that. I do have a
little information that some other BLACK researcher may be looking for.

I am forwarding you all a piece of mail that I received today. As you can
see from the subject heading, we could possibly be headed towards the old
indiana server, but thankfully, rootsweb does have some protection against
this. Read on. By the way, I did do what was suggested by sending mail and
setting our list up so anyone who is not subscribed can post messages. If
this is a problem for you, please email me privately. Thank you.
