I am currently looking for any info on any Black that married into the Loughrey family in Ireland. I have found:
John Black (b:1858) married to an Ellen Loughrey
Lizzie Black (b:1862) married to a John Loughrey
Wilhelmia Black(b:1866) married to a Samuel Loughrey
Legend has it that there were 7 Black siblings marrying 7 Loughrey siblings. If anyone has these names in their tree, I would love to hear from you.
I only have four children listed for Jim and Nancy Black
Martha Malenda Black (Summey) Eileen's grandmother
Corida Black Johnson
William Black
Joseph Black
I have found all the names above except Nancy and Cordia in the 1860 census for Bedford, Tennessee. They all seemed to be at the same location during that census. That doesn't mean they are mine of course and I really don't know how to find out if they are mine.
I am looking for information on parents of Robert E. Black who was born in TN in appx. 1875, went to Texas and married Elizabeth Ann (Lizzie) Smith in 1897. He owned a SawMill in Shelby County Texas in 1922 and died in 1951. I am looking for relatatives or his parents info.
Could this be the same family??

William Cain Black was my gggrandfather. He married Mary Odom, a dependant relative in the household of Ludwell Smith, planter, in the 1850 Madison/(Leflore) County census in MS. Their son, James Pliny Black, born 3-13-1854, married Flora Isabel Smith,b.1855, of Flora,MS., daughter of William L. Smith, farmer in Flora,MS. in the 1850 census. Both James Pliny and Flora are buried in Belzoni,MS. Does anyone have information about William Cain Black's ancestry? If anyone knows where the family came from

On further review you did mention a John Black born in 1851 in Ontario. I missed this when I read your reply. His birth date works out as he I do know the John Black I'm looking for was in his middle to late fifties in 1907. I will be in Ontario in the next few weeks and any additional information you can give me would be helpful. Thank you again.
Hi Jim,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner--computer was unplugged while room was being redone. The only James Black I have records for founded Mercersburg--purchased the land from Indians for a gun and a string of beads in 1730. He was son of John and Jane Black. I don't believe James had any heirs; in his will (at NC), dated 1776, he left everything to a nephew, the Rev. John Black. I do have info on a James (b.1740 or 1749) who married a Ruth and moved from the Delaware/Phila. area to Westmoreland County,

Thank you for your prompt response. The names of John's children aren't familiar. It could still be the same family thru another son. I'm looking for John Black married to Mathilda Edwards in Ontario around 1880. Son is Albert Black born in 1880's. Thanks again. Margaret Henning
I am also looking for information from Perry County, PA on a Henry Black married to Anne Holmes. They had the following children: Ann Elizabeth (b. Feb 17, 1840, d. July 25, 1898 in New Bloomfield, Perry Co., PA), Emma, Mary Jane, and George.
Ann Elizabeth married William Smiegh and gave birth to 13 children. One of which, Charles Albert Smeigh relocated to Cleveland, Ohio and went by the surname of BLACK. He married Martha Othello Thieme.

Hello all....
I did verify that the second email was a virus (fun.pif). Therefore, I'm not
sure if this virus is changing it's name when sent...since it had a different
name the first time and was not picked up by the virus scan...or this
individual whom I named has several viruses going on.
Therefore, as I previously stated....open no attachments...especially those
in the format that I described.
Thanks!
Colleen

Thank you for your response. You are right on the needed approach, this was
a shot in the dark. Your ggf was born in the same time periot of my gaunts,1869
to 1876,so I don't see a relationship.I'm amazed at the number of Blacks,
even in the 1800's.They don't seem so plentifull in the west.
