Hi! I have looked for the parents of John Black, who died in 1830 in Pulaski
County, Kentucky. One genealogist sent me a family group sheet showing the
name William Black, but when I asked what documentation he had, he got
defensive and angry and would not reply. Also, I have no information on John
Black's siblings.
Thanks anyway,

I have a John Black from Pulaski and Wayne Counties in my line. I am
descended from Nathaniel M. Black, born 1776 married to Mary Jane ??, who is
buried in Wayne County. These Blacks went back and forth between Wayne and
Pulaski Counties. They were supposedly from Ireland, came through Virginia
and settled in Ky.
I hope there is some connection.
I would like to buy a copy of that book, where is it available.

Hi! Here is the complete citation:
Ragle, Harold E.
1969 The Blacks of Casey and Pulaski Counties, Kentucky and of Kansas. The
Casey County News, Liberty, KY. The booklet is about 20 pages long, and
covers the family of Jain and John Black of Pulaski County, KY. John Black
died in 1830. It does not cover AL or MO. If your family was from Pulaski
County, KY it may help.
Thank you,

Hi Don,
Please tell more about this booklet by Dr. Ragle. Does it only cover
Blacks from KY? My Blacks were in AL until the 1840s when they moved to
Cumberland County, IL and then on to Wayne County, MO in 1900. They were
possibly in NC at one time - just speculation.
Thanks,
Terry Black Temples
