Looking for information on Daniel Black who emigrated from Ireland approximately at the time of the Revolutionary War. He reportedly was taken prisoner aboard a British man of war ship enroute and held for 5 years. He supposedly escaped on Cuba while the boat was taking on supplies. He then made his way to America. It is reported he landed in Virginia. He made his way to Canonsburg, Washington County, PA. He married Mary (possible last name Smith, of Pa). They had nine children. The two I know are Henry G.
