Looking for brothers, Saul and Jake Black, married in PA. Family story says these brothers married HOPE sisters. Would like to learn the names of these women and try to fit them into the tree where they belong. Hope family came over about 1828, story says and our understanding is that all kids had been born in England. I can't answer the questions you have, but your email raised some for me. I have some Blacks in my line -James Black was born in Scotland. He married in PA. He lived after marriage in SC. There was a family group of Blacks living in Charleston around 1800. I haven't sorted them out yet, but one James Black had a father, David. (David still lived in Scotland.) James had a wife named Susannah. He owned porperty in Edgarstown, MA. His son, James, married Rachel Adams of MA (cousin of John Quincy A

I had posted some information on Blacks found in OakGrove Cemetery Uniontown PA earlier this week. I got my pictures developed and here is the data. I am pretty sure the all the Gallagher's are related somehow, but I am not sure if Catherine is any relations to the Blacks who married into the Gallagher clan. All stones were in the same area.
