I've got some BLAISDELL family members, all from Massachusetts, listed in
the Amesbury records, that I don't seem to have placed yet. I've ben through
the Amesbury/Salisbury Massachusetts Records, The Old Families Of Salisbury
and Amesbury (by HOYT), as well as an artical from the Essex Antiquarian. I
don't seem to have placed these yet though. So i amd wondering if anyone
else has, if they know how they fit into the family (parentage and such). I
know there's a long list, but help with even one of the peo

Unfortunately we have conflicting information as well. The date we go with
is 30-Jan-1733 at Amesbury, Essex, MA. But we note 1731 and 1732 as well.
Stephen Blaisdell b. 13 Jan 1730/31 Amesbury, MA he married 17 May 1753
Sarah Lowell
Which Sarah Lowell did he marry?
Sarah Lowell b. 1 May 1731 d/o Moses Lowell and Frances Colby
Sarah Lowell b. 31 Jan 1733 d/o Stephen Lowell and Miriam Collins
I have seen it both ways, which is correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We list a marriage date of 17-May-1753. SOURCE: Amesbury marriages p 289

Sarah was born in Amesbury, so you might want to research the Vital Stats
of Amesbury for those years.

Greetings,
I am a new subscriber to this list. I am currently researching a line of the
Blaisdell family who lived in Plymouth County, Massachusetts from the 1800s
to present day, but descended from a William Blaisdell of New Hampshire (b.
20 Jul 1808, unknown city and unknown parents so far). I look forward to
corresponding with other Blaisdell descendants and researchers.

Hi Margo,
Not sure if this is a hit or not. We have a "Wandel Blaisdel" b.
20-Jul-1808, mar. Nancy SHAW on 25-Jan-1835 in Abington, MA [sic],
and was buried in Abington, MA. One of the notes we have says,
"CONFLICT - Name William."
If this is your William, we have at least 7 generations of his ancestors.

Philip,
I believe this is the same William, who I found married to Nancy Shaw
(William [int. Blaisdel] and Nancy Shaw, Jan. 25, 1835) in "Mass. Vital
Records to 1850" and followed through census and city directories. I have
his death as 10 October 1899 in Rockland, MA. I have William and Nancy with
4 children: Ann Eliza (died young), William Henry (died young), William
Henry (lineage I am tracing), and Wendell. I am investigating a theory that
