As an outgrowth of many months of urging coupled with a recent
end-of-the-year incentive by DNA Heritage, we're seeing a hint of
interest in y-DNA testing in the UK. My co-administrators for the
Blanchard Family DNA Project have been in contact with the British
Family History Society (BFHS), and I believe the next BFHS newsletter
will include an item encouraging DNA testing. AS I learn more about
that, I'll let the list know. I'd be excited to see UK results matching
our Blanchard Group 6 guys. W
The old maps at http://www.tngenweb.org/cessions/ show the Indian land
cessions in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia. These are good maps for tracing
the Blansett/Blancett movements in the early 1800s. If you haven't seen
them I think you'll find them of interest.
Cheers,
