While traditionally all AB votes have been conducted on Board-L, the only
requirement in the bylaws is that the AB votes be posted publicly. This
does not say that the votes have to take place in full view of the general
membership......but that they must be posted publicly.
Therefore, in order to insure that one entity's vote does not influence the
other and yet still comply with the bylaws in regard to the AB vote, I move
to adopt the following amendment to Part C. [first part is the same,

Good Afternoon Mr NC,
It is a day and a half past the time that you set to close
the voting for Amendment 2 of Motion 02-23, and with a count
of nine "yes" and one "no', the Amendment passes. Now, I
call the question/vote on the main Motion 02-23.
Thank you.

No, to the appointment of W. David Samuelson to the Elections Committee

?????
A quorum of 9 is required on all votes.
A motion to direct the EC to do anything would require a 2/3 majority of
those voting.

There were 8 "yes" votes and 4 "no" votes, exactly a 2/3 majority. The
abstain is counted in order to establish a quorum, but not counted in
determining whether or not there is a 2/3 majority.

So long as the discussion remains more or less general, it is appropriate
to discuss it here. However, it is not appropriate to post unsubstantiated
accusations regarding volunteers to this public list. When you comments

And I understand your point Bill. Thank you for humoring me. I still
really feel it undermines the Election Committee Procedures.
I won't berate it.

Mr NC,
I call a point of order.

With 8 members voting "yes," 4 members voting "no," and three members not
voting, Motion 02-23 passes.

The Advisory Board acknowledges with regret the resignation of Ron Eason,
CC Representative for the Southeast/Mid-Atlantic Region.
It is now the AB's responsibility to select a replacement to serve until
the next regular election. I suggest that the most proper and efficient way
to do this is to put out a call for volunteers and then, after consulting
with your constituents, choose from among them.
Comments?
