Funeral services for Virgil Leo Parkerson, 81, of French Camp were
held Wednesday at 11a.m. at Bethsaida Bapt. church.
Parkerson, a native of Montgomery Co, died Monday at Montford Jones
Memorial Hospital following an illness of seveal years.
Once we get things rolling a bit, what I want to do is have each
participant to identify for the group their known ancestors beginning
with great-grandparents and moving back in time. There is no need to
share more recent ancestors at this point.
For example, if I were eligible to test for the Bowles line, I would

CAWSEY for a long time so I am very excited to finally see some activity about her

From the "Historical Southern Families", Vol. XIV, Etheridge of Norfolk
County, Virginia there is the following note: - William Etheridge Jr. owned
80 acres in Norfolk County in the Quitrent Roll of 1704. On 14 September
1709, William made a deed of gift of these 80 acres to his son William
Etheridge Jr. and on 13 December 1711, William Etheridge Jr. deeded to Jonas
Lawson 50 acres, which had been granted to John Portlock in 1687.

lists.Remember some time back I made some post taking the Bowles and Lawsons
from England to the Back River in VA. The Back River was in Elizabeth City
Co then Norfolk Co (Lower Norfolk) now in Princess Anne.Now I guess you want
to know who Elizabeth Southy was? First I don't know her maiden name, but
she was the wife of Henry Southy. Henry Southy died in 1624 in James City Co
leaving his wife Elizabeth and daughter Anna. I be

Cherokees between 1795 and 1813. He died on 16 July 1839 in Van Zant Co. TX.
Cause of Death: shot in head during battle

John Bowles was the son of a scotch trader and a full blooded Cherokee
woman. His father was killed and robbed by two North Carolinas while on
his way home from Charlestown with goods for his establishment. This
