Does anyone know how George F. Bowman, ba1780 Colleton Dist, SC, son of
George F. Bowman, Sr. of Orangeburgh, SC, fits in with the German Jacob and
George Bowman who came to Orangeburgh? Or if they do? George F., Jr. came
south to Rankin Co., MS with daughters, Nancy and Martha Jane who married
Lwellyn Rhode and Lewis P. Rhode, respectively. There was also a Joseph
Bowman
and wife Catherine, son John W. Bowman, ba1827 SC. After arriving in
Mississippi,
they had among children: Joseph Wesley, Marcus, J

I have a John F. Bowman born in 1824. In 1881 he married a Mary Ann Sharp
-- likely a second marriage. I'm not sure where he was born, but he lived
in Harlan Twp., Warren Co., OH and is buried in Edwardsville, Warren Co., OH.
Also in my files I have a John Franklin Bowman, but he's a little too late in
time for your John Franklin. This John Franklin was born in Aug 1855 -- in
Warren Co., OH to my great-grandfather George Washington Bowman.

BOWMAN,
I noticed a Milton Hubbard Bowman 1818 on the LDS site. My Sarah Elizabeth
Bowman was born 1841 in MO. Her son was named Milton. I noticed Milton's
mother was Sarah. I'm hoping this is the connection I need here but need
further info. Does anyone have any? Sarah married Sylvanus DeWeese and lived
in Hillsdale, KS right accross the line from MO. Thanks, Linda Hoffman

Sorry, I can't find your John in my Bowman files -- although many of my
Bowmans of that era moved from Ohio to IN, IL, MO and KS.
Do you know anything about a Charlotte Bowman b 1823 Indiana married James
Robinson (Robison)in 1843 Ripley Co., Ind. They went to Monroe Co., Iowa,
Somewhere in Kansas, and then Nodoway Co., Mo. Her husband passed away in
Nodaway Co., Mo. After his death they returned to Monroe Co., Iowa.
Charlotte's father was George Bowman I think. He was born in 1800 in Ohio.
He was married to Louisa. That is all I know about him.
I need information on Charlottes parents and Siblings.

My Bowman ancestor lived in Harlan Township, Warren County, Ohio, also. This was
Matilda Bowman Allen. She was born in Virginia in 1822. She was married in
Clinton County, Ohio. Clinton borders Warren. I've tried to find her family,
and the only Bowmans in the area in the 1850 census were Daniel and Mary. They
lived in Marion Township in Clinton County, which is right next to Harlan
Township in Warren They were from Virginia. In 1860 he was 53 and she was 52.
Their oldest child living with them was 1
Any information regarding the family or ancestors of Jacob Boman who was in

I have been searching for a Boman connection in this area for many years and
Jacob is my first real clue.
