1. Re: [Boyle] Philippe Boyle, chr 1591 inEast Down, Devon [1]
I saw your posting about Phillipe Boyle and thought I pass on my interest in hope that we may "related". My earliest ancestor in this East Down area is John Boyle, who marries Sarah Witheridge 10 Jul 1749, per IGI. One of their sons, Thomas, marries Susanna Smith 1786, East Down. George is than born in Pilton 1871, married Ann Marshall 30 Jan 1814 in Barnstaple, then found as 50-year old's on the 1841 Barnstaple census. 1851 they have moved on to Glamorgan, South Wales. Their son Edward also moved t

Hello list, I've updated my website with not only my own family information, but also some data that I've put together to hopefully help others. Here's what you'll find. 1. Of course my family info with copies of documents such as those that I found at the National Archives in DC in my great great grandfather Louis KIRCHER's (born in Weinsberg, Wurttemberg) Civil War Pension files. Included in those papers are sworn statements made by friends to aid in the pension eligibility research. 2. I

Looking for any information on John Boyle who was born in April of 1863 in Ireland. He immigrated in 1865 when he was only two years old from Cork to the United States. From there is a big blank span of time, though we know he came from Ohio to Atchison County, Kansas when he was between 16 - 20 years of age. I believe I have located him on the 1880 census in Harmony, Clark Township Ohio - minus his parents. He married my great-grandmother, Mary Eliza Olden, in Kansas and they farmed and raised a family

13. RE: [Boyle] John Boyle - Born April, 1863 [1]
Mike, Thanks for responding - it's good to hear from another Boyle even if we find no connection. John refused to talk about his mother and father or any siblings. As I mentioned he didn't go to church and according to my Mom (who I just lost this past January) had even more aversion to Roman Catholics. As a Roman Catholic, it has been my experience that some of those most hostile to us Catholics are former members. Why? Well, that's another story. At any rate, John Boyle married my great-grandmother

Do you know where Charles Boyle was born in England? I have a Boyle connection that goes back to Barnstaple, Devon and is found there as early as the 1500's.
