Someone on another list was kind enough to look this up for me. If you
want a specific lookup, email me privately and I will ask her. Thanks.

everyone should be involved in. Without rootsweb, none of the genealogy
Rootsweb lists that exist (over 5,000!) wouldn't be here. They have done
so much for all of us, and I am sure some are you are very aware of what
they do. All the things like the genweb archives and everything are housed
at Rootsweb and without them, things like the censuses in the archives,
mortality schedules, etc., wouldn't be accessible to us over the compu
I am a new subscriber as of 19 apr. I sent a query on my Bradfords, I
believe on the 19th or 20th. How do I find out if it has been received?
I am new on computer but old on my Bradford research. My nickname to my
genealogy relatives is The Pest. You can see why just from this E-Mail.

Hello everyone, I have a suggestion/thought about supporting rootsweb. I
received a message earlier from someone who had sent that cookbook thing to
about a dozen lists and a couple more dozen people and in it, she said
something that made me think...If everyone who received it just donated
even $1, there would easily be a couple hundred total for rootsweb....what
do you say we try that?? I have 7 lists and 2 of them have over 100 people
on them (Black and Bradford) and the other lists combined would be m
I don't have any other info about this John, I just found this will on the
Ancestry Maryland Wills Vol. 5 database and thought I'd pass it along. The
address for the database is: http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search.asp
There are no more Bradford wills, but This John, his son, and a William
were executors for many of them which I have saved to a file on my
computer. If you would like a copy of the other wills, they were executors
for, just email me privately. Good Luck.

Ok everyone, no one really sent me a suggestion for the word of the week
for this week and it's already Wednesday. If you have ANY suggestions, let
me know. Also, for those that are new to the lists, I just wanted to tell
you WHAT the "word of the week" is all about.
In the past, these lists have been very inactive, weeks could go by with
not one post, and I wanted to get activity up. I started a "program" for
the word of the week where I give a word/phrase, such as John or North
Carolina, and anyone w
Ok list, the word for this week is TN! Post your Bradford lines related
somehow to TN. Also note, that if you don't have a line in TN, but you
have info such as census, wills, land records, etc., post them as well.
And if you don't have anything about TN, but want to post your line/info,
feel free:)

Ok everyone, we have had a bunch of new subscribers to ALL the lists.
Because of this, I would like people to start posting their lines. Unlike
almost every list, I don't discourage Roll Calls because I know they have
helped me. (Please make note that MOST lists will UNSUBSCRIBE you by hand
if you start a roll call, so keep it on these lists please) I am sorry if
you don't like Roll Calls, and if you feel it necessary to unsub because of
it, well, that's your loss. I DO have a couple guidelines for Roll
Just found out that I am going to be in VA (lower Shenandoah) and North Carolina (Greensboro) in early May. My husband is going on business & I'm tagging along. I will have a couple of free days in NC and wonder what resources (libraries, etc) are available.
Then in June I am going to SC on business and am taking a couple of days to explore! I will be in Charleston but am considering driving to the Spartanburg area where one family came from. They are said to have come from the "Pendleton District" n

Hello everyone. I want to thank you all for your help. I am still looking
for stories on using the census from 1790-1850, territorial censuses, and
searching for minority ancestors with the census (African-American, Native

so I thought I would share it with all y'all. Enjoy and thanks for your
sharing. I tried to get back to everyone to thank them personally, but
there were over 150 stories sent to me!:) I appreciate it.

Anyone out there that can assist with this BRADFORD line?

The earliest Whetham's we know about at this time is William Whetham born
2-December-1782 in Bridport, England.
He was married to Jane BRADFORD.
The marriage date would have been in the 1780 to 1782 time period and if we
guessed that they were both about 25 to 30 when a child was born then we
could estimate birth dates in the 1752 to 1755 range.
They lived in Bridport, England. They had several children including: Mary
