I am looking for the parents/siblings of HUGH BRADFORD, NC veteran of the War
of 1812 who received bounty land in TN.
He married first Peggy Harrison in 1814 in TN and 2nd married Kessiah Davison
in 1818 also in TN.
I descend through his son Haynes J. Bradford.
In trying to find his parents I have searched all the 1810 NC census records
for a Bradford who was the right age to be his parent. I would like to know
if any one has a will, etc that would prove these Bradfords to be or not be
his parents:

Georgann,
I found another place where I might get those marriage and death records for
you. The Jasper County archives has some of Tyler County records in their
files. I will see what they have. Jasper County joins Tyler County to the
east. I will be gathering all the other info on the Risinger and Lindsey
families that you don't have to send to you. A.S.A.P.

Good evening to the BRADFORD list members,
I have put together the family of the subject ELISHA BRADFORD from
several sources, and am having trouble believing it.
I show that ELISHA was born about 1669, in Kingston, MA, son of
JOSEPH and JAEL (HOBART) BRADFORD. He died June 16, 1747, in Kingston.
He married (1) HANNAH COLE, daughter of JAMES and MARY (TILSON) COLE,
January 25, 1706/07. HANNAH was born about 1666, and died August 15,
1718, in Plymouth, MA. According to what I have put together, E
I just discovered an obituary index that I didn't know existed. The
James White Library on the campus of Andrews University in Berrien
Springs, Michigan has an on-line version of the Seventh Day Adventist
Periodical Index. Included as part of this index are obituaries from
Seventh Day Adventist periodical literature.
The address is http://143.207.5.3:82/screens/libinfo.02.html

the lists are lurkers, so not everyone really does. (I ha

Am delighted to share with you "my" Kentucky Story - for that is where
my father was born. He moved to MI (where he met my mom and where I was
born) when he was 19.
My dad's dad and most of his ancestors are born in KY.
I have been into geneology for about 6 months and have recently written
to KY for information on my grandmother - Lena Nora Johnson Bradford.
Here is my KENTUCKY line...taken, primarily, from "The Bradford

Does anybody know who a Henry Bradford was, whose TN will was dated 1828?
Also, does any body know who a Henry Bradford was, who married Rebecca Giman
in 1844? She deserted him and Henry filed for divorce in 1849 in Henry Co,
TN. He had a petition signed by 56 of his neighbors to support his divorce.

Hello everyone! I am in a great mood today (first time in a few weeks
too!)! Here is why:
I wrote a letter to my grandfather's brother in Charlotte, NC last
September or October. This family has some kind of fued between grandpa
and his brothers over some issue (I don't really know what it is about),
but the other side of the family had information that I was interested
in for my genealogy. I wrote a long letter telling all about me and my
side of the family since I've been born and how my parent
