Waht Thomas are you referring to? The one who married hargraves or Kearmey
or Holmes please advise.
A lot of your trouble is that Philemon had several brothers and they
all named their sons after their brothers. So you have a bunch of 1st
cousins named Philemon, Richard, Thomas, etc. who all named their sons
after their brothers--I can't sort my Thomas out either. I even found
a couple of cousins with the same name, born within months of each
other, in the same area. Almost impossible to sort out which is
which--even though you know they are all family.

For a long time I thought Wiley must be a family name that was given
as a first name in my family and just carried through the generations
because all of my Wileys are related. But I have notice it used as a
first name for an amazing # of people from the Virginia area in the
1700s. I've noticed it on my other surnames mailing lists and other
genealogy research.
Of course, from that era maybe there was one big family of Wileys that
had lots of kids!
