Hi, I live in South Africa and have been able to trace my family back to Francis James Bradford, who emigrated to South Africa in approx. 1882, from Middlesex, UK. He was married to Rosa Loaring. He had a twin brother, Francis Joseph Bradford, who emigrated from Middlesex to Canada. I would really appreciate any information which would help me trace beyond this. 12. [BRADFORD-L] 2 suggested GEDCOM programs [1]
I knew when I wrote the thank you note to the list that I should have also mentioned the names of the programs suggested. I had just as many people asking for programs as I had suggesting them. So, for everyone who asked here are the 2 free/shareware programs suggested for reading GEDCOM files. (I know I mentioned 3 programs in the other Email but it was a mistake.) 13. [BRADFORD-L] James Bradford of Colfax, IL [1]
I know at least a couple people on this list are researching this Bradford line so I thought I would scan & post this to the list. It may not be anything new to anyone but I thought someone should get it scanned so that it could be out there somewhere for whoever wants it. This comes from a book called "1776-1976 Bi-Centennial History of Lawndale, Martin And Anchor Townships And The Villages Of Colfax And Anchor" which was published in 1976. I have found errors in this book before so I just thought I wou

It seems everyone suggested the same 3 programs over and over so I think I will find and download all 3 and check them out. Thanks again everyone. I guess I should have looked for a program myself before asking but I was under the assumption that such a program didn't exist. Thanks; Mark
