OK those Bradford's were on my (Al Dawson, Berea, Ohio) MATERNAL side - now
investigating the possibility that I'm descended from Gov William on father's
side too - seems to hinge on DAR-mentioned Joshua Bradford (1751-1819) who
married Anne Cleveland (or CLEAVELAND) in 1775. He was born in Canterbury,
CT and died in Braceville, Ohio.
Looking for more information on this possible ancestor
Just an offer I am willing to extend to those who are interested. Terri

I'm compiling a brief biography of Mary W. Fluker BRADFORD, for a reference
book to be published in 2001, & I'm hoping someone on the list has heard of
her.
Mary (b. abt 1841, in LA) was the daughter of David J. FLUKER (b. abt 1809,

I am descended from William Bradford, who came to the colonies after
fighting for England in the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland in the late
1600s. Family lore says William's brother returned home to England
after the battle, but William remained in Ireland for a short time.
William came first to Pennsylvania, but then resettled in Orange Co.,
NC. He had at least 4 sons (or grandsons) who each married Hamiltons.
One of these sons/grandsons was David Bradford, whose family later moved
to western Tennessee
Good day fellow Bradford researchers,
I am new to the list and thought to introduce myself and say a few word
about my Bradford line.
We have traced our line back to the late 1700's to St. Mary's Parish,
Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, England. Thomas Bradford and his wife
Esther ????? had a large family there. I descend from their son Thomas
who appears at Spelbrook in the 1851 census. Spelbrook is a few miles
north of Sawbridgeworth but still within that parish. He married Mary
Shepherd, daughter of Wil
