John Bradford was born 3 December 1787 in Halifax Co., NC, the son of Henry and Sarah (Crowell) Bradford. Died in Cherokee Co., AL, 9 November 1855.
I descend from his son, James Bradford, 1815-1887, who was for many years judge of the Probate Court in Cherokee Co.
Would like to hear from, share information with, other members of this bunch of Bradfords.

Does anyone on this list know anything about the following line?

Elizabeth Bradford m. George Truitt Sr.
Can anyone tell me the origin of this BRADFORD family?
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I wonder if anyone has information on Sir Thomas Bradford and he was the son
of Thomas Bradford of Woodlands near Doncaster, Yorkshire, England. He was
born in 1777. He enlisted in the army in 1793. He was Aide de Camp to King
George IV. I have information on other Bradfords in England but I haven't
seen on the list anyone posting where it would tie into me. Please if you
have or know of anything about Thomas Bradford, please let me know. You can
e-mail me at Dale 300@aol.com if you wish. Thank you.
Dear Ms Bradford,
Thanks for your response to my query.
Yes, I descend from Richard Bradford who immigrated to Virginia c1653 and
whose daughter-in-law, Rebecca Pace, descended from Jamestown settlers. My
line is:
Richard Bradford--Francis Taylor
John Bradford--Rebecca Pace
John Bradford--Patience Reed
Henry Bradford--Sarah Crowell
John Bradford--Mary Eelbeck
James Bradford--Margeret Ann McRae
Ella Bradford--George Watts
Annie Watts--Frank
I can't speak with certainty as this is not my line, but if you are
from the Halifax line of Bradfords, it's likely that you are
descended from Richard Bradford and Rebecca Pace of Jamestown. Other
list members who are descended through this line could tell you more
accurately that I could, but as a fellow Bradford who's line comes
from NC (different branch though), that seems to be what I've seen
during my years of research.
