11. Re: [BRADFORD-L] Bradford-Truitt connection [0.986598]
Apologies in advance for the lengthy post - but I want to get a lot of information out all at once. 1) In the Maryland archives online marriage records there is a Nehemiah Truitt who married a daughter of John Bradford, as follows: Truitt, Nehemiah, m. by 1 Feb 1760, (N), dau. of John Bradford of WO Co. (MDAD 44:206). Source: http://www.mdarchives.state.md.us/msa/stagser/s1500/s1527/html/ssi1527t.html So the records indicate that Nehemiah Truitt married a daughter of John Bradford, but I've seen no indic

15. [BRADFORD-L] Samuel Bradford of Worcester Co. (d.1810-12) [0.986598]
To all researchers of Samuel "Snowhill Sam" Bradford: I'm so glad someone pointed out these rootsweb mailing lists, and that so many of you are researching "Snowhill Sam" I grow daily more and more convinced the more I dig that Samuel Bradford is related, if not directly descended, in some way to the John Bradford who moved to Worcester from Accomack. I have found no hard evidence yet - but a case can be made using circumstantial evidence. From memory here's one bit I think is pretty compelling . . .
16. Re: [BRADFORD-L] SAMUEL BRADFORD [0.986598]
Jean, I'm very glad you and others are trying to make the same connection between Snowhill Sam and John of Accomack. Definitely more likely than any mayflower connection. Samuel's my ggggg-grandfather. My grandfather Vance Bradford wrote the book "Bradford Descendants" about Snowhill Sam's progeny. (Incidentally, I'm sure many of you own it, but if anyone wants any of the info contained in this book, let me know and I'd be glad to post it.) I also think there's a strong possibility, which many others have

19. [BRADFORD-L] virus warning [0.986598]
Hi all. I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently received an email from a fellow genealogy researcher that had a virus attached to it (but I didn't open it). The attachment I received was called Resume1.wps.scr and when I scanned the attachment with Norton, if found the bugbear virus attached. I just wanted to send out a general warning/reminder about attachments in email, even if you know the person who sent it. In this day and age, it's very important to remember to scan an attachment before
20. [BRADFORD-L] SAMUEL BRADFORD/SARAH FITZGERALD [0.986598]
In the Phelps County, MO Heritage book it says that the parents of Adam Bradford are Samuel Bradford and Sarah Fitzgerald, and that Sarah was born in County Cork, Ireland. 25. Re: [BRADFORD-L] SAMUEL BRADFORD/SARAH FITZGERALD [0.986598]
The very helpful and gracious Ms. Brewster did a lookup for me on this info about Sarah Fitzgerald hailing from County Cork, Ireland. The following is from the Phelps County Missouri Heritage Book, Vol. I, pages 63/64: "Adam Bradford descended from one of the earliest colonial families in America. He was born at Snow Hill, Maryland on the Pocomoke River, in 1775, the son of Samuel Bradford and Sarah (Fitzgerald) Bradford. Sarah was born in County Cork, Ireland. Samuel Bradford's birthplace is not known,
