I am working on Rice Morse Brainerd/ard, son of Levi, but have not
been able to figure out what happened to Rice after
1871, when he's mentioned in Levi's will. He may have been deceased
by 1880, as I can't find him in the Census. He may also have been
dec'd by 1875, since he doesn't appear in Orleans Co. in that year's
state census, although he easily could have been in another county.
He does not appear in any of the cemetery records for Orleans or
Genesee Counties either.
Sooooo ... what happened
It is that time of year when many people plan reunions and family gatherings
and genealogical trips. If anyone would care to, please post information
about any
upcoming events. Who knows, maybe a distant "cousin" might contact you.

Hi listers
During these cold weather weeks, let's try to break down some brick walls.
Maybe some of the new members can help some of the old members and visa versa.
It's also good to repost your interests every now & then. Happy hunting.

can help each other.
If you have any links or data please post it to the lists.
Some times your queries would be better off on the boards for more people

Since the list & boards are gatewayed your messages will be seen by the list

I am not getting any Rootsweb mail at this time. AOL is blocking them since
they changed servers last week. I'm waiting for the two of them to fix it.
However I receive mail to me or I can send to you. I will be checking archives.
So any AOL member on our list, isn't getting any of our mail from the list.

Hope you all had a Happy Holidays. This is the time of the year that we try
to do things we promised ourselves. For genealogists it's to find those
elusive ancestors. Therefore, let's tell the list who, what, where, why we are
researching. Hope some can break down some brick walls.
Let's all the new members, lurkers, those that have their tree done etc. get
together to help each other. Let's do it.......

GRANDMA CLIMBED THE FAMILY TREE
There's been a change in Grandma, we've noticed as of late,
She's always reading history, or jotting down some date.
She's tracing back the family, we'll all have pedigrees,
Grandma's got a hobby, she's Climbing Family Trees....
Poor Grandpa does the cooking, and now, or so he states
He even has to wash the cups and the dinner plates.
Well, Grandma can't be bothered, she's busy as a bee-
Compiling genealogy for the Family Tree.
She has no time to baby-sit, the
