Attention Brethren Researchers;
Fifteen years ago a member of The Fellowship Of Brethren
Genealogists by the name of Tom G. CRASO was living in
Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is not now a member of
the F.O.B.G. We have been trying to locate Tom. Does
anyone on this list-server know of his where about.
The normal sources such as the Brethren Offices at Elgin
etc have been checked without results.

Hello George,
In the late 1980s I had the pleasure of interviewing your grandfather
for The Church Of The Brethren District History Committee, of which at
that time I was one of the Board Members.
If I remember correctly your grandfather was around 100 years old at
the time. I spent an afternoon with him in his home

I am watching for replies on this query with interest. I have never heard
of the "Baker List" but have several generations of Brethren Bakers that I
would like more information on.
Jan,
I keep hearing of Craik's History, but alas have never been fortunate
enough to find a copy. Please, could I ask you to look in the book and see
if it mentions the Clum family....allied lines are Baker, Parkison, and
Leatherman. They were with a group of Brethern that settled in Galesburg,
Neosho Co. Kansas.
Any help appreciated.

Tom,
Thank you for all the cemetery data. That's the kind of information that
is so difficult to get from a distance and be certain that it's been
carefully done. Someone with those family connections is more likely to
be careful.
We are very interested in your photo of Martin JOHN. Unfortunately, I do
not have web access or the capability to download a photo. Would you
please send us a copy?

You asked where the Brethren web page is. The URL is
http://www.cob-net.org/genhis.htm
This site includes some details of Brethren history both in Europe and the US
and also has listings of the early Brethren baptized by specific early
Brethren leaders, such as Alexander Mack. There are also listings of
members in some of the very early Brethren congregations (1770). I found
some of my folks in the Stony Creek Church, where I expected them to be, but
was pleased to find a date for baptism.

My grandfather (Joe Wolf) attended McPherson - I don't know exactly when, but
he was born in 1886. I have a photo of him, along with other musicians - a

guitars, the rest have mandolins. It is obviously a posed grouping. No

I am looking for records of JOHN WEAVER b. 1723 d. 1792 m. SUSANNAH STUMP.
daughter of Christopher STUMP. He was living in Bethel or Heidelberg Twsps.,
Berks Co., PA in 1757 at the time his son JOHN GEORGE WEAVER was born. I
cannot find a church record for the birth of John George in Berks Co., PA.
Since he was married to Susannah Stump, I have now assumed that he could be
Church of the Brethern. He was a member of the Reformed Church when he moved
to MD ca 1773 or before.
