Hi Tim,
I am going to venture a guess that your Tabitha was a neice of my Eunice
(Browder) Wilson, dau. of Edmunad Browder of Chatham and wf of John Wilson of
the Chatham/Orange Co. line. She may have been a dau. of old Edmund himself,
am not looking at Edmund's will. At any rate she must be in this family as
Edmund had a son, Darius, who went to Tenn.

Thanks for telling us about this one. I tried another surname, Hulings (no
connection to Browder except thru me)....and had 5 great hits. One I hadn't
seen before and it had that elusive thing, colorful notes about my man and
documented!
Thanks again,

Hi folks!
I am new to the list and am trying to follow-up on a possible connection.
I am looking for a Tabitha Browder from the Chatham Co., NC area. She may have married an Asa Barber of Chatham Co.
about 1808.
They had sons named Darius B.(Browder???), Lawson, Wiley, and Bennett Barber.
If this looks familiar too anyone or the naming patterns look familiar or anyone has seen any Browder/Barber connections , please
contact me.
Many thanks to everyone.

Hi
Have my book handy and here are the children of Edmund of Chatham Co NC
Edmund Browder will dated 4 June 1781 proved in Chatham Co NC August Court of
1785 did not have a daughter Tabitha.
His issue was as named in his will:
Darius
John
Mary Clark
Eunice Mr. Wilson
Silva White
Lois
Mason
Deborah
I have a mass of descendants of Darius and John above children of Edmund and
neither of them had a Tabitha! Anyway they both left the Chatham Co NC area
early:
Deed records show sales of land in the late 1790s
I would love to know if anyone has a clue as to why Edmund named a dau.
Mason. His brother did the same thing. I am from Eunice Browder, below, the
only one of Edmund of Chatham's children who remained in NC. She m. JOHN
Wilson founder of Damascus Congregational Church in Orange Co., NC, close to
the Chatham line.

Browder Cousins,
In order to assist efforts to increase Rootsweb revenue, I have enabled
the function below for this list.
"RootsWeb offers some tagline space for companies that want to put
commercial messages there. These taglines are added to unsponsored
lists. One of the ways you can help RootsWeb is by voluntarily adding
these commercial taglines to your list as well. They will be added below
any regular taglines you may already be using, and won't interfere
with them."
Please remember that for us
Browder Cousins,
This piece in Rootsweb Review (see below) caught my eye. If you
have the time, you might want to try the new search engine at:

I have a question regarding Browder's from Kentucky(Virginia, originally). I am
looking for info on William Cousins Browder, who was the son of David(b 1755)
and Mary(thompson) Browder from Dinwiddie, Virginia.
The info i have states that William Cousins Browder married Sarah Barrett
Haselwood(1823) in Kentucky. Does anyone have info on their children, I think
they have a son Robert, who i am particulary interested in. I would like to
know his full name, who he married, and his children?
Any info, i me
I am searching for James W. Browder, born Sept. 1859 in Virginia. He later
lived in Texas and Oklahoma. He married Julia A. Davis, born Sept. 1873 in
Texas. Any information on either of them is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I am trying to find out some information about the children of Lucretia Nancy
or Nancy Lucretia, she was a daughter of Thomas Browder she was born about
1840. She married Leonard COBB and she had at least one daughter by him born
about 1855. I need information about her and her children.
If you can help I would appreciate it very much.

I was delighted when these items appeared on my ESSF list and added them to
my database. I haven't worked on this line in sometime and wondered if
anyone had made any kind of a break thorough....do anyone know the parents
of Isham, birth date? Was he married before Talitha Cox? This last
question came to mind because there is a web site that suggests he was
married first to a Mary Browder and then later to Talitha. On two different
websites is the information that "it is thought that Isham was a good de
OK, boys and girls, we all seem to be slacking up on research. And I have
moved so many times since I first got on the list till I have been remiss in
keeping up. Do all of you have the 2 Browder books by Blanche and Nat Browder
and the one by Helen Dye(think that's her name)? I know that Isham and
Talitha are listed.
My books are all packed and in storage and will be till the house I have just
put money down on is completed. So I am not able to look up anything but
want to check out the ref.you
A note to let all know there is some Deed Book transcriptions of Guilford County NC listing Isham and Talitha.
To access them, click following link:

Type in Mailing List search window: EFSS (for Early Families Southern States)
Then type in Browder in search window and place dot in 2002.
Click "Full" on the first item which indicates Browder records.
There are several records - many of these indicate that Isham witnessed certain

have whole chapters devoted to BROWDERs, or are historical records
