To my dear cousins who tie into the Browns: For two years I have been studying the these folks. Progress is slow because it seems there are Browns with the same first names living in the same areas at the same time. Ugh! Most of us know about an Alexander Brown marrying Naky (Sarah) Canoe, etc. Just be careful in your research. Things get mixed up for sure! In this record, below, I am showing an Alexander Brown who is clearly the son of an Indian fighter. Taking bits of information from many sources,

My Alexander Brown was born about 1798 in somewhere, supposedly
Missouri, came to Texas about 1826 with his son Mitchell. Then married
Sarah Castleman about 1831. Does any of this sound familiar?
