Ziba Buell was a native of Vermont, born about 1780.
He came to Jefferson County in 1803 and to Rodman in
1804 or 1805. He settled on a farm now owned by Simon
H. Gates. In 1832 he removed to Zoar until his death.
He raised eight children namely: Verona, Horace, Oren,

Hi Donna,
I have in my records that Isaac BULL who married Hannah ROBERTSON is a
son of Jacob BULL and Rachel WARDEN. Jacob was a farmer in Baltimore
County, MD (before Harford County was formed, I believe). Jacob was
born in either 1683 or 1696 (I am not sure of either the exact date or
where - England/Maryland?), and died in 1756. His will was probated on
22 November 1756. I am a descendant of Jacob/Rachel through Abraham

Hi,
Hoping at long last that I'll be able to connect to some of the other
BULL families on this list now that I can place this family in Lower
Canada. Does anyone have Bull's that were in the Berthier area?
My g. g. gr. grandparents:
Henry BULL, b. Yorkshire, Eng. (not proven) went to Lower Canada with
two brothers, (one named Samuel). Henry married Madeleine de Montfort.
Later went to Belleville, Ontario, then Madoc, Ont. (Samuel - a lawyer,
went there also but the other brother went to the States). I

Hi,
The Richard Bull family and the Lewis Peavler family lived in Clear Creek in
Bell (formerly Knox) Co KY. If you haven't already, you might try posting
your query on the KY-BELL mailing list. I believe that Richard Bull
originally came from the Grainger/Claiborne/Union Co TN area, and he had a
mill on Clear Creek in the early 1800's. Also, there were some Bulls in the
Hances Creek/Brownies creek area of Bell (formerly) Knox Co. The Bulls also
married into the Evans and Baker families at Clear Creek.
I'm sorry for the multiple messages that resulted from my attempt to
switch over to another email address.

Thanks to Elwyn Maurice Bull for the reply in reference to
Harriot/Harriet Bull who married John Rooks on April 14, 1817 in VA. The
marriage did in fact take plane in Northampton, VA. Any help you could
give me on this branch of the family would be most helpful. Do you have
any info on Harriot? And if you do, is there any info on her having had
a child out of wedlock? Any help would be most appreciated. Carol Rooks

Hi, Billy! Being new, you'll discover that you can receive more information
by presenting as much as you can. It is helpful to other researchers to
know family names, given (first) names, birth and death dates, spouses,
children, locations of birth, death, residence, etc....
Happy hunting!

I'll definitely keep a look out for any Hampshire connections. I'm not sure of where my ancestors came from in England, but will contact you if I find out and they have come from Hampshire. Thanks for responding!

Hi Bonnie,
I don't think that there was anyone by the name of Aubrey Bull in my family. My first name came from a song that my parents liked in the 70's...and I'm not even sure if they are aware of the Bull branch of our family tree. Thanks for checking anyway though and good luck on finding your Aubrey : )

Searching for information on Edith Bull. It is believed that Edith was born in England in the late 1800's. She married Jacob William Smith there before coming to America to settle. According to family stories, Edith and Jacob (also known as John) brought over one of the first movie projectors and travelled around the midwest with a travelling movie house. They have been known to live in Nebraska where they had their son, Freeman Roy Smith, in 1900/1903 and Bethany, Missouri, where they had their daughte

And my search did include Robert Richardson. Any ideas?

Claudia,
My source for Isaac Bull being the son of Jacob was from the book by Charles
H. Baldwin. I don't have a copy of the actual will. Do you have another
source?
The following was taken from Bull and Related Families by Charles H.
Baldwin, book on file at Ft. Wayne, IN Public Library.
Jacob left his property to the following: Isaac Bull, 118 acres with water
grist mill thereon, part of a tract called "My Ladys Manor."
Ann Knuckel sent excerpts from the book by Lola Smith stating Isaac married
