Famous Twins -- Chang and Eng Bunker were conjoined twins who, on this date
in 1829, journeyed to Boston from their native Siam (now known as Thailand)
to be displayed. Traveling with agents Robert Hunter and Abel Coffin, Chang
and Eng became world-famous, giving lectures and demonstrations here and
abroad. The term Siamese twins derives from them, both of whom lived to be
63 years old. They died within hours of each other in 1874, in their adopted
home of Surry County, N.C. Usually, Siamese twins are joine

Did you know you can usually copy any picture that you want to? Put your
cursor over the top of the picture and right click. A box will come up that
will have several things in it but amongst them is one that will say save

can do this with pictures on the net too but remember the copyright laws.

As an example, an error pop-up message when you're trying to describe a

To do this, do the following:

Cousins,
Any Archie Bunkers in the LA area? The "original" neon sign for
"Archie Bunker's Place" from the TV series, is up for bid on Ebay.
You're going to need a big wall to hang it, and deep pockets, but if
you are named Archie, or married to one, this would be a great present.

Many people send others GEDCOMS of their family history data. This is a
medium where you can transfer data from one program like Family Tree Maker
to another like The Master Genealogist. Unfortunately, when you do that you
frequently have problems with the data transferring correctly and you may
lose some of the data. Several programs can read the back up data from
another program and transfer it without a GEDCOM. When you want to exchange
data with someone else, first ask which program they are using.
I was recently looking for information about Nathan Bunker who was born in
1786 in DE and married Elizabeth Thorne Clement in 1813. Much to my
surprise I found numerous references to Nathan Bunker being born in 1650 in
Nantucket, the son of George Bunker and Jane Godfrey. George Bunker never
had a son named Nathan. George Bunker never lived in Nantucket. His widow
moved there with her 2nd husband and George's children. In numerous cases I

Hi all:
Microsoft has just released two patches for those people
running Windows 2000 as an operating system.
KB896423 (a bug in the Windows 2000 print spooler service)
KB899588 (a bug in the Windows 2000 Plug and Play code)
I encourage everyone using Windows 2000 to run Windows update
and apply these patches as soon as possible.
There is already a known exploit for one of the *holes*. A
knowledgeable user on the Internet can use this vulnerability to

All computer genealogy programs have a provision that backs up your data.
BUT this back up file is an internal file. If your computer is completely
wiped out because of a virus, glitch, power surge, or you just get a new
computer, you will lose this data.
Usually, when you do the back up, it is backed up to a file that has sqz. on
it. What you want to do is copy that back up file to a floppy disk or a CD
so that you can store the data some place other than your computer.

What should you do with all those documents and files that your grandma
collected on the family history? No one else in the family is even remotely
interested and you are worried it will all get thrown away. This has
happened in my family more than once because kids were not interested.
You can copy all of it and send it to the BFA. You can put it all in your
