1. English wills [1]
Before 1858 English wills were proved at a variety of church courts, the main one being the Prerogative Court of Canterbury. There were local courts such as Archdiaconal Courts and Peculiars. From the beginning of 1858 all English wills have been proved at the Principal Probate Registry. The pre-1858 wills have now nearly all been indexed and can be searched online by going to http://www.documentsonline.pro.gov.uk A rare surname may work with the Quick Search but otherwise try the Advanced Search putting
2. RE: site not working [1]
I cut and pasted the URL for the DNA and surname article so it should be correct. However, try this http://www.bbc.co.uk This is their homepage. In the search box click on BBCi only and type in surnames genealogy and that should take you to the right place. Sorry there is a problem with the link. 5. attachments [1]
SAY IT WITH PICTURES. Unlike RootsWeb Mailing Lists, which do not permit attachments, you can attach pictures or scanned images to messages you post on any RootsWeb/Ancestry board message. The potential uses of such attachments are endless. Post a transcription of a will, deed, or family Bible record and add a scan of the image of the original record for others to view and download. Perhaps you have unidentified family photos you would like to upload so that others might view, and possibly identify,

15. RE: Nantucket Bunkers and Coffins [1]
You are correct. The marriage date was 1753 and most likely my inability to read Leach's handwriting. However, in the next generation I read it as 1753. Children of Abishai Bunker and Dinah Coffin were Abishai b. 1754, and Miriam b. 1755. Abishai then married Hephzibah Allen in 1757 and they had Thaddeus b. 1758 according to Leach. The Bunker Family Assn. database also shows Hephzibah Bunker b. 1761 and Hezikiah b. 1762 after Abishai died. Thanks for the assist. This was very hard to read and I need a

Everyone, I am so sorry, but I was infected by the Budbear virus which is not picked up by Anti-virus systems. It sends itself to everyone in your address book and because I've been infected it's very likely that you will have been too. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by
