Edward Butler born was born in Chatham (Now East Hampton) Connecticut about 1805. He married first a Mabel Johnson, in 1826, and then a Charlotte Dingwell, in 1828, all of Chatham. Had 12 children. Butler - according to the 1900 Tishomingo, MS census, he was born in 11/1867 in MS, was married to a Cordela J. I'm trying to find the KY and OH links for Elisha Butler, born possibly in Warren Co., KY about December 11, 1802. According to "History of DeWitt Co., IL", he came with Levi Cantrell from Madison Co., OH to IL between 1814 and 1819. He married Mary Ann Coppenbarger about 1826. I do not know the parents or the siblings of Elisha, or where the family originated. Have information on descendents.
