Hi Folks,
Sid Hall here in Austin, TX. I haven't had much contact over the last
few years but do appreciate getting the updates from Brick Church. I
visited there about four or five years ago and have some great photos.
Here's my line through the Clapps. A few years ago I did some extensive
work and realized that some of the direct lines had gotten a little
mixed up in the Brick Church and Ancestry.com lists. As best as I can
tell--through looking at birth records and migration patterns to India
My ancestors are Christian Farmer (born Bauer). His son Christian had a son
Henry who married Mary May and moved to Indiana (Morgan and Hendricks
counties). I know they lived in Guilford County but have not yet linked them to
the Brick Church. I am developing a website for Christian's descendants at
freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~christianfarmer
Many of the names common in the Brick Church records are also found in the
cemetery where Mary and Henry are buried in Morgan county, Indiana.

Hi Rick,
Thanks for taking on the job.
This is how I fit in:
George Valentine Clapp
John Phillip Clapp
Lewis Luddwick Clapp
Benjamin Lynn Clapp
Sarah M Clapp married Samuel Lear
William Henry Lear
Joseph Delmar Lear and then me
Carol Anne Rohner
GG Grandpa Benjamin was a very colorful figure. He became a Mormon at the
very beginning of the Mormon church. Ben had 4 wifes and at least 20
children. It is rumored that he met an untimely death after he left the
Church.
Hoping to meet many cousins in August
Welcome aboard Rick!
I am a full time "lurker" on this board...have been for years.? Actually, one of Larry NOAH's ancestors, Catharena (EFLAND) NOE (b. 1743 in Alamance County) is a sister of my gggg grandmother, Mary (EFLAND) GIBBS (b. 1745 in Orance County, NC).? Mary's husband, Nicholas GIBBS, Sr. (b. 1733 in Germany) settled in Orange County in about 1762 after serving 5 years in the British Army fighting in the French Indian Wars...settling on land granted to him for services performed.

Hello Rick! Thanks for taking on this job.
My name is Summer Hannah, and my 2nd great grandfather was George
Alexander Clapp.....known on the Brick Church Records as George Eli
Clapp. He was the last child born to Isaac and Catharina Clapp--Isaac
died 5 weeks after his birth. He moved to Illinois for awhile, then
moved on and settled in Brock, Nebraska.
What I am searching for....to verify that the "Tobias Clapp" who was
Isaac's father was in fact the Geroge Tobias Clapp born in 1735 in
Berks Co PA.
My Brewer line is Charles Alexander Brewer (my ancestor). He had two
brothers, William G Brewer, and John J Brewer. Charles married Malinda C
May, daughter of David May and Naomi Gray. John J Brewer married 1st to
Sarah. John moved to Indiana (I think it was Randolph and Wayne Counties in
IN) John's 1st wife died and he married another Sarah, Sarah Farmer. They
had a Phillip Farmer living with them in 1870, I think.

I descend from Daniel May who married Barbara Clapp, then Daniel May who
married Barbara Hall, then David May who married Naomi Gray. David and
Naomi moved from NC to Lyon County, Kentucky with their children.
Hi again everyone!
Well, I guess I spoke too soon! I just checked the one website for the church and found the picture I was asking about. :-)
Here's the link.

I just noticed why my message didn't show on the list--I'd hit
"reply" to Rick's message that came on the list, but the reply-to
address wasn't the list's email address! Will try it again.
